In preparing for my trip to the international climate negotiations in Bali I
packed suits and a briefcase stuffed with science papers and a laptop.
After today I feel like I should have just brought a bull horn and some
spray paint. Maybe its not too late to find them...

Today Bali's local newspaper reported that Indonesia was disappointed in UNCCC after most of developed countries like Germany, Australia, England and World Bank, who get involved in Reducing Emimissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD), drew back from the project and didn't make any commitments to support this project.
The National Chairman of UNCCC from Indonesia, Agus Purnomo, said that it was like we were offered for a lunch by developed countries. They served us with great hospitality and supportive. But when bill came, the countries said they left their wallet at home.
The developed countries have made commitment to support developing countries who have large forest, especially tropical forest. But when Indonesia was launching the pilot activities in REDD scheme, they didn't make any strong statement to support Indonesia.
