Change Energy to Renewable

Sustain, and give back.

Description:

I am teaching myself how to build solar panels. (They are not cheap! ) When I get to a decent level of proficiency, I want to solve two problems at the same time. I want to build a solar manufacturing company to make solar more available, and I want to employ Native Americans in South Dakota, if they are willing. They have been mistreated from day one back in the 1800's and If I can do anything to help them get sustainable in their local community, perhaps they would not have to starve like they are now.

Anyone who is interested in helping is free to contact me:

The video I've included is to show who is "behind the curtain", and why we can't solve the world's problems any faster.

Taking Action To Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

Status:
In Progress
Description:

The future is not somewhere we are going. It is something we are creating. Every day we do things that make some futures more probable and others less likely.

Global warming already disrupts millions of lives daily in the forms of destructive weather patterns and loss of habitat. What is already happening is only the tip of the melting iceberg, for it is our children and grandchildren who may suffer most from the effects of global warming. Hundreds of millions of people may be exposed to famine, water shortages, extreme weather conditions and a 20 - 30% loss of animal and plant species if we do not reduce the rate of global warming and reduce GHG emissions. On the other hand, having warmer winters means longer growing seasons in temperate and subarctic climes, sometimes allowing an additional crop to be planted and harvested each year, or simply making the existing crops more productive. This article outlines some ways that you can act to help prevent the Earth from warming further. While humankind has the ability to destroy the planet, we can also help protect and sustain it.

Reducing your carbon and greenhouse gas emissions will not only make your personal living space more sustainable but it will also save you money in both the short- and long-term. Global warming is occurring more rapidly than it was originally expected to. Only forty years ago, the big worry was global cooling. Even if you remain a cynic, however, and disagree with the consensus of scientists, you will benefit from reduced pollution, a more healthful lifestyle and increased savings from enacting these simple activities that will not reduce the quality of your life.

We just signed the contract to have solar panels installed on our roof. It's very popular her in the Bay Area so it will be about 6 months before the installation happens but we've very excited. We are also exploring buying a new car to convert to zero-emission bio-diesel. That would replace our Prius. This is just a thought at this point the the interest is there. And lastly for now, we will talk our friends and to the school our kids attend about converting to solar themselves.

hello everyone, right at the moment I am backpacking my way across new zealand, I can with the month build a machine which does not need any type of fuel to generate electricity, it is a simple idea which when looked upon will make you think, why didnt I think of that, well it has taken me 2 years of thought to come up with it, but i want financial backers to get it off the ground, it is not solar but it works none stop and can generate enough electricity to power every mega city in the planet, it also will reduce the cost of electricty all over the world, I know there is someone out there who will back this idea and make a difference to help cutout carbon emisions for good. sounds impossible, i thought so for a long time but only in the last 2 months have i got it to work and it is real and it is not out there at the moment, please e-mail me if you can help.

A big change

Description:
My boyfriend and I have decided that we need to start doing more NOW.  So, three nights a week we turn off all the lights, tv, etc.  and enjoy eachothers company.  We cook our food by BBQ or just a eat raw meals.  Then we read or play games by candle light.  This is just a start, we are aiming for 6 nights a week, saving one night for new knowledge and media that will aid us in spreading this change.  Imagine if everybody in your town or city started using 1/2 as much energy in thier homes NOW by doing this in the evenings.  It would make an incredible difference.  Not only in our carbon footprint but also in the quality of our lives.  Our families would be closer, we would know eachother better, and to be able to entertain ourselves is a quality that our children are loosing very fast.
