Description:

Peace Day Global Broadcast production partners are very excited about the 2010 United Nations International Day of Peace Global Broadcast Event.

The 2010 Peace Day Global Broadcast will feature live feeds from celebrations around the world starting Peace Day weekend (starting September 17th), and culminating on the official United Nations Peace Day, September 21st.

This year's Broadcast is centered around solutions to the 8 United Nations Millenium Development Goals which have triggered unprecedented efforts worldwide in the fight against poverty, hunger, disease, a water crisis, and environmental destruction.

New technologies designed for improving all sectors of our society will be featured, such as "PlayPumps," a low cost solution where children play on Merry-Go-Rounds while providing water for entire African Villages, the World Food Program, and other solutions for malnutrition like Plumpynut.

New segments planned for this year include the giving of Pillar of Peace Awards to individuals and organizations doing extraordinary work in the peace building field.

Sponsors for the event are now being sought. There are several different levels at which you can participate. Each level offers excellent worldwide exposure and promotional opportunities for your organization.   All sponsor packages include airtime, inclusion of corporate logo on all marketing materials (posters, press releases, websites) before, during and after the event.  As with the 2009 Broadcast, this year's broadcast will be available for continuous play following the recording of the live event, ensuring increased value to our participants, and augmenting the educational outcomes we hope to achieve.  Contact us if you are interested in participating.

Ethical Expeditions

Description:

I co-founded Ethical Expeditions with my wife Sheryl to conserve our natural world through education. We take students on 8 week expeditions to Borneo and Zambia to get students out of the classroom to get them involved in helping to conserve their natural world. We want students to walk away from each of our expeditions as changed individuals. We want their perceptions and thinking about how to live in the world to be changed and to begin sharing this with others. We have partnered with Quest University for our first expedition to Borneo in January/February 2010 and are working with Big Picture schools for our Zambia expedition the following summer.
