I live in Staten Island NY on Castleton Avenue. I am between a hospital and school, which you can imagine the amount of commuters, school children, and hospital workers that hustle and bustle on this eight block radius have no where to put their waste. There are only 2 trash recepticles in this amount of space, and more waste on the grass, sidewalks and streets than there is in the actual trash cans. "MORE RECEPTICLES ARE VITAL" to keep a more cleaner, and healthier environment. People here discard their trash on the ground like they breathe air. It truely sickens me how our youth is uninformed, and our adults are quick to ignore proper and considerate behavior when it comes to the cleaniness of our neighborhoods. I would like to start some action on getting more trash cans available for our community, especially in these highly populated areas.
