Sunrise School Bali

On the 31st of January Grade 6 had Environment Educational Day at Sunrise School. Tatiana, Sara and me went to do quizzes with Grade 1. At first we gave them a presentation about recycling, taking care of your waste and making compost piles. Most of them knew what it was. The quizzes were handmade and were all about taking care and what plastic, paper and pollution can ruin the planet if you don’t put them in the right place. Then we did paper making with grade 4 and 5. We crushed paper in the blender until it turned to mush. Then we put it in a big, large bucket mixed with water. You needed a frame, net and shift. You put the three objects in the water and it will come out straight, you can put in dried flowers and sequins. After it is dried you will be able to write on it. That was recycling day for Sara, Tatiana and I. Other kids in our class did activities with other classes. We all had a fun time and we were all glad to be helping out the planet. Bambou On the 31st of January my friends and I from the 6th grade taught the kids of second grade to sing environmental songs such as “It’s Hot in Here” And “Were Going to Recycle”. Even tough most of the kids were very restless I think that they enjoyed the songs a lot and that they learned why keeping the environment clean is so important. Justin On the 31st of January on the environmental day we helped the preschoolers understand about recycling and understand where to throw rubbish .My friends and I told them about paper and plastic and in which bin it belongs. We told them that recycling is good and better for the environment and not to throw rubbish on the ground. We played recycling games which makes it more fun to understand and more active to learn about recycling so they understand it faster. We played three group games and one of them was that there was rubbish spread on the ground and they had to pick it up and throw it in the correct bin. Kimo On Thursday 31st January grade six student visit junior high school student and we make two groups and Lina and Eka’s group clean up the school and my group we watched recycle and environmental movie. The movie is about the Balinese people make recycled paper and they sell the plastic aqua cups and bottles. Also they said if you throw rubbish in the river the rubbish will go to mangrove tree. After we watched movie the junior high school student wrote what we can do and what we can do at school. Miri On the 31st of January we went to grade two to teach them some songs. First we wrote the songs on a piece of paper then printed twenty of them. We also went to kindergarten and played some games but before we played the games we had to explain to them what paper and plastic are then we explained to them how to play the games after they understood everything we played the games.
