Law and Order inspired by the Dodgers

Law and Order fans don't have to lose hope, unless the original was the only one they like. A new Law and Order series, taking place in Los Angeles, will debut this fall as outlined by the New York Times. The New York offices are closing shop, and the series is heading to LA, just like the Dodgers. Despite its near institutional status, and producer Dick Wolf’s known desire to beat Gunsmoke as the longest-running prime time drama, the show is nevertheless going to the metaphorical gallows.

Spin offs abound

Hardly any show has produced as many spin offs as Law and Order. There's Law and Order Special Victims Unit, Law and Order Criminal Intent, Law and Order UK, and soon, Law and Order LA. There were various other spin off series, but none fared too well. There are rumors that a movie may be within the works and that the show is being sued by Chuck Norris, as Law and Order are the trademarked names of his left and right boots.

Not the only shows cut this year
