<p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: center" align="center"> <b>Artisti in Azione</b> </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: right" align="right"> Coordinated by Rita Lavalle e Toni Martin </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt"> This group, based in Torino, Italy, promotes dialogues and actions among organizations and people towards the planet's life quality improvement. It supports on the UN Millenium goals, the Earth Charter and Leonardo di Caprio´s 11th hour Project. Special topics are global warming, new clean technologies, energy sources, water, poverty, immigration impacts, and sustainable development. <b><i>&quot;Artisti in Azione&quot;</i></b> (Artists in Action) is an international proposal which is creating networks of local artists in various countries (i.e. Brazil) within the context of 11th hour's action groups. </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt"> <b><i>&quot;Artisti in Azione for arts and development &quot;</i></b> will promote the screening of Leonardo di Caprio's &quot;11th hour&quot; film and spots in several communities of Torino. It will also stimulate the creation of local artist's communications projects to stimulate youth and elderly people's local actions on their neighborhood. Its first goal is to provide incentives for action to organizations such as NGOs, cultural centers, social and environmental associations. </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt"> <b>Why <i>Artisti in Azioni</i>?</b> </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt"> Poverty, malnutrition, migrations and climate change are facts attaining the whole planet Earth and they must be considered as global issues, concerning all of us. The <b><i>Artisti in Azione </i></b>network is committed to fight against these phenomena using art as a tool and artists as promoters of local dialogues towards action. Artists are followed and known by millions of people, they are example for many of them and they want to tackle the challenges of development transforming societies making them more socially conscious, tolerant, responsible, and creative on actions needed. </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt"> <b><i>Aritsti in Azione</i></b> is a group of intellectuals and artists including painters, musicians, theatre artists, film makers and other artists and development stakeholders who were motivated by &quot;The social responsibility of the artist&quot; idea to use their gathering capabilities in extending its effects to individuals and society. </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt"> <b><i>Artisti in Azione</i></b> is an educational project that facilitates networking and collaborative work. It intends to bring a creative and participatory approach to development issues such as arts in community development, youth empowerment, health, human-rights, sustainable development. Thus, <b><i>Artisti in Azione's </i></b>mission will have great repercussions. </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt"> &nbsp; </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt"> <b>Mission</b> </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt"> <b><i>Aritsti in Azione's</i></b> mission is to promote immediate actions from artists and stakeholders of development moving the people and the communities towards the betterment of planet's Earth living conditions.
