Artisti in Azione Coordinated by Rita Lavalle e Toni Martin This group, based in Torino, Italy, promotes dialogues and actions among organizations and people towards the planet's life quality improvement. It supports on the UN Millenium goals, the Earth Charter and Leonardo di Caprio´s 11th hour Project. Special topics are global warming, new clean technologies, energy sources, water, poverty, immigration impacts, and sustainable development. "Artisti in Azione" (Artists in Action) is an international proposal which is creating networks of local artists in various countries (i.e. Brazil) within the context of 11th hour's action groups. "Artisti in Azione for arts and development " will promote the screening of Leonardo di Caprio's "11th hour" film and spots in several communities of Torino. It will also stimulate the creation of local artist's communications projects to stimulate youth and elderly people's local actions on their neighborhood. Its first goal is to provide incentives for action to organizations such as NGOs, cultural centers, social and environmental associations. Why Artisti in Azioni? Poverty, malnutrition, migrations and climate change are facts attaining the whole planet Earth and they must be considered as global issues, concerning all of us. The Artisti in Azione network is committed to fight against these phenomena using art as a tool and artists as promoters of local dialogues towards action. Artists are followed and known by millions of people, they are example for many of them and they want to tackle the challenges of development transforming societies making them more socially conscious, tolerant, responsible, and creative on actions needed. Aritsti in Azione is a group of intellectuals and artists including painters, musicians, theatre artists, film makers and other artists and development stakeholders who were motivated by "The social responsibility of the artist" idea to use their gathering capabilities in extending its effects to individuals and society. Artisti in Azione is an educational project that facilitates networking and collaborative work. It intends to bring a creative and participatory approach to development issues such as arts in community development, youth empowerment, health, human-rights, sustainable development. Thus, Artisti in Azione's mission will have great repercussions.   Mission Aritsti in Azione's mission is to promote immediate actions from artists and stakeholders of development moving the people and the communities towards the betterment of planet's Earth living conditions. The artists and stakeholders are given opportunities to transform societies into more socially conscious, tolerant, responsible, and creatively active groups of people. Supporting the Message

Atraction's action communities are created to help people plug-in and engage after seeing our films. Help us continue our work and support the message by buying our DVDs, T-shirts or other cool things related to our films. The films we make are created to raise awareness and help foster change around issues of the environment, social justice, consciousness, health and well-being. With each film we launch and action community and conduct educational tours of the film to universities and schools. We also create teaching materials that help people dive deeper into the subject. By purchasing a DVD, or other things, you help spread the message.

Purpose

The purpose of this website is to inspire people to take action. We encourage people to take action at home and in their communities. On this social action website, you will see thousands of examples of what people have chosen to do to make the world a better place. We believe that when people see what other people are doing, it helps them take action too. So we ask that you open a profile, and tell us what action you are doing, perhaps you are going to plant a vegetable garden, or you are going to help start a recycling program at school, whatever it is, let us know and tell us how it's going. You can post videos, pictures and statements. If you need inspiration, check and see what people have done by looking on the action map or joining a group that has already started. Together, step by step, action by action, we can create a healthy and just world.
